What Is This Group About?

Anxiety can take various forms, including generalized anxiety, panic attacks, and phobias. Anxiety can significantly affect people's everyday lives, making it more difficult to perform regular activities and engage with other people. This counseling group provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals to explore and identify the underlying causes of their anxiety.

The group is facilitated by a licensed counselor who specializes in anxiety and will teach strategies designed to help overcome fears and develop self-awareness. The group is designed to be attended in small groups of around 10 individuals to ensure everyone has the personalized attention of the counselor. Over four weekly sessions, the group will explore the following key topics:

  • Understanding anxiety and its impact on daily life

  • Learning cognitive-behavioral techniques and mindfulness practices to manage symptoms

  • Strategies and skills to overcome fears and negative thought patterns

  • Setting achievable and measurable goals to gain a sense of control over anxiety.

This counseling group aims to empower individuals and increase their confidence to achieve their personal goals in all areas of their lives. Individuals learn strategies to manage their anxiety so they can take back their lives and more fully engage with the world around them.

For those struggling with anxiety, "Mastering Anxiety: Strategies for Overcoming Your Fears" can provide the necessary guidance and resources to make meaningful progress towards a healthier, happier life.
